Extracurricular activities are an important part of school education to promote all round development of a child’s personality.
DAV follows a prescribed list of activities for KG, Primary and Secondary Sections. The Activity schedule is strictly followed every Saturday under the guidance of the incharges of various sections. Children participate in these activities enthusiastically.
All National Festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm with a sense of patriotism. Teachers Day (5th Sept.), Children's Day (14th Nov.) mark the special occasic All festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Chirstmas, Janmashtami and Rakshabandhan are celebrated with a festive mood and students are told about these festivals.
Competitions in Drawing and Painting, Recitation, Debate, Calligraphy, Quiz, Declamation, Story telling, Music, Dance and Essay writing are held as per school calendar and talented students are awarded scholarships/prizes.
The school tries to adhere strictly to the pattern recommended by NCERT and the DAV College Managing Committee. Importance is given to character building a inculcation of moral and vedic views.
